Colonial vibe, modern cuisine: Black Powder Tavern (taste + scene)

Ever dream of those days where you want to step outside the monotony of city life and relax? Few places can whisk you away like Valley Forge, minutes outside of the city. And after a day at the park, few restaurants can satisfy your craving like Black Powder Tavern.

Formerly Winberie’s, Black Powder Tavern rebranded itself last fall in an exciting way, staying true to its New American-inspired menu while adding a delectable selection of small plates and wide variety of craft beers that rotate on a weekly basis.

While the balance between attracting a younger clientele and maintaining the area’s standbys is a delicate one, Black Powder has done well by offering an extensive brunch buffet and frequently rotating creative specials.
