Wayne’s Black Powder Tavern is going to give Allagash Brewing Company a real taste of colonial-era history on Wednesday, July 23, when the Maine-based brewery joins the restaurant and bar for a special dinner.

The tavern, which first opened for business way back in 1746, once served as important secret meeting place for George Washington, Marquis de Lafayette, and other leaders of the American revolution.
